  1. Confused by different memories Says:

However if you havn’t found any amongst them, you can still look some yourself by looking for Hotels around or in Covent Garden, as the Theater is there. That is the nearest tube station.

  2. Matt Says:

You shouldn’t restrict yourself to hotels right near the theatre. Central London is really easy to get round, especially with the Tube.

Remember that the tube map isn’t to scale, and all the stations around Oxford Circus, Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, Charing Cross and Embankment are all close together and within easy walking distance of each other (like, 10 minutes walking at the most).

Sometimes it can actually be easier (especially if all the popular central hotels are booked up) to stay a little further away and then catch a tube to the theatre.

I’ve stayed at the London Hilton Metropole a few times when I’ve been to see shows. Its on Edgware road which is quite a way from Oxford Circus, but the hotel is nice and its right next to Edgware Road underground station. The breakfast buffet is also brilliant there!

A tube from Edgware Road to Picadilly Circus takes no time at all, and whilst its a bit of a walk from there to the Lyceum (you could always change and catch another tube if you’re feeling lazy) I’m guessing you would be doing a bit of walking in the evening to find places to eat, etc, anyway.

I’ve also stayed down near Kensington a few times. Again its really easy to get around with the Tube.
